We get all sorts of different requests which are obviously upsetting to the homeowner - especially if its maggots!

A call at 8pm the other night had maggots falling out of the over the shove exhaust and believe it or not this is common when rats or possums die either from baits or they get trapped inside the roof and can't find their way out.

It's different in summer you would definitnely smell the bodies by this stage that maggots are on the body of the animal but in winter they keep for a little longer.

We have even had maggots dropping from the down lights.

WHAT WE DO...

We will retrieve the body and dispose of it BUT replace with an odour bag one that does not mask the smell but actually absorbs the smell.

If you are wanting to sell a property quickly nothing stops prospective buyers when the words "termites found" stands out on a pest report.

This happened to a customer this morning who had a buyer ready to sign on the dotted line when he re-read a report that there were termites found in the garden beds and had found mud tracks leading into the house.

This is not an isolated case it happens over and over again when we go in after one of our bigger multinational companies does a job before us.

SOLUTION TO POSSUM PEST CONTROL

There is a lot of building going on in Canberra at the moment and we get calls for possum removal. What happens is that the possums (they travel in pairs) will sometimes get trapped in the ceiling and can not find their way out and sometimes that they die in the ceiling and starve to death.

SOLUTION

We now have one-way traps that will allow the possum to get out from the ceiling but NOT get back in allowing the property owner to repair the space that they are gaining access.

“TERMITE PEST CONTROL CANBERRA 3 TIMES LUCKY!”…

I have been telling a few horror stories of what has happened when property owners do not have regular termite inspections here is another story of 3 strikes and your out – please read on.

Bob and the team were called out to O’Connor (Nth Canberra) and its not the first time that we have found live termites in their home but the owner thought that by us chasing the termites out that would be enough to get rid of his problem – wrong!

The termites had attacked the house in the opposite direction and again we mentioned the termite barrier to be installed asap to protect the house from further invasion but we got “I will think about and give you a call”

3 months now past and we got another call same address HELP the termites have been found in another area of the home and “we want them GONE for good when can you do the job!”

Finally, common sense prevailed and not we are installing a chemical barrier with 8 year 2 million dollar assurance that the termites WILL NOT be back!

We have worked out that the damage done the termite barrier would of saved them money if they got it done the first time before any further damage was done.
